What do you do to thank three little boys for playing so well outside for eight hours while their dads build a shed in your backyard? Make them whips to attack each other with!
From this tutorial.
I used brown crepe because that’s what I had access to in our tiny town. And it was only $1.49/yard.
This project was super simple, with the hardest part keeping my 10 month old from stealing the strips as I was braiding.
All three, from cut out to finish, took less than 45 minutes. And now the ten year old wants one, so I’m off to make another. He’s totally earned one just for putting up with these guys.
ETA: 1.5 yards of fabric will yield four whips. So, when the 12 year old decides he also wants one, you’ll be glad you picked up three yards of material. Five boys, of varying ages, are now whipping it out in my backyard, and I have yet to hear a cry of pain. These things are genius!
