It’s about one yard long and half a yard wide. Or something. I forgot to measure it. Whatever.
I used one of the rockets on some flannel I had laying around from my prefold applique days and drew a rough outline of it’s shape on the wrong side of the fabric.
I folded the fabric in half, length wise, to cut it so things would be symetrical. I laid the cut-out flannel on the furry fleece (left over from He-Man’s loin cloth and boots) to cut out the other side.
Then it was just a matter of right sides together, serge, turn, topstitch with a decorative stitch and I was done! 30 minutes from start to finish!
there is now red fur all over my house, in my nose, etc. fun. fun.
And the possibility of other shapes? Turtles, flowers, fish, gingerbread boy; you get the idea. Pretty much anything with a bulky silhouette would work. The size is perfect for a car blanket or even a changing pad.
Seriously, 30 minutes and I think it’s way cute, even if I didn’t lay it out very flat for the picture. I was in a hurry, I had a shower to get to.
