I was all set to start on my bias tape assignment, grabbed my fabric, and realized I still hadn’t washed it. The worst part of sewing is the prep work. So since I most likely won’t have a finished anything to show today, I’ll reveal what I’m going to attempt to, as I explained it to my sister, get “from my brain to my body”. Just remember, I haven’t even so much as cut into the fabric and have no idea if what I have envisioned will even begin to take shape once I start in on it. But here’s my idea:
I’ve named it The Domesticated Skirt. So even if it’s a miserable failure, at least I’ll be able to bury it in my project graveyard with dignity. I might like the name better than the idea itself, which is probably a bad sign. But whatever. Practice is practice.
Anyone else putting some bias tape to work? Just me? Oh, wait, I’m not yet. But I think it’s on the spin cycle, so not long now.

She’s hosting a sweet giveaway with The Quilt Shoppe. I would like to win, so don’t enter, just go look. Just kidding. Sort of.
So, Project Due Date: Tuesday. Zippers, Part I: Wednesday. Good times: right here.
