This Thursday, April 22nd, is Earth Day. I thought it might be fun to spend this week going over just a few things that I use and do that are a little more “Earth friendly”, as well as sewing related. You know, on account of this being a sewing/craft blog and all.
I feel as though I should preface things by saying I’m not anywhere where I should be, and would even like to be, with “green living”. There are things I want to implement, things that intimidate me, and things that I just don’t understand. My guess is that a lot of us are like that. What I plan to do during this week is to go over a couple of the little things I do. I really hope that some of you will also think about posting on your own blogs anything that you might do that you would like to share.
On Friday of this week I would like to do a link party where anyone that would like to participate can share those ideas and whatnot. I know there are tons of easy, practical and even fun ways that you all are practicing more green living, no matter what it is. Maybe a few of us can be inspired from what you have done and are doing. So get those posts ready for linking and sharing on Friday. And if there are online resources you like to go that relate to this topic, please share those.
Two of my friends-in-blogging are also participating. Christie at A Lemon Squeezy Home will be guest blogging later this week with a fun, multipurpose tutorial. And Beth at Project: Project will be posting ideas, tips, and giveaways on her blog, as well. Beth also came up with this little graphic you can use if you also would like to participate.
There are two sponsors you can read about here. They are both offering coupons codes for you readers, so make sure to click on over.
Also, later today, I will have my first post up about cloth diapering. It really is one of my favorite subjects to talk about, so I’m trying to edit the post down to a more manageable read. The follow up to that will be a tutorial and some templates I’ll share tomorrow. And we’ll go from there with more tutorials, posts and giveaways all week long.
So, let the Earthy fun begin!
