Thanks to all of you who entered the Rolled Kitchen Towel giveaway, either by leaving such nice comments or by linking up. Before I announce the winner, I want to direct your attention to those that linked up. Such cool ideas, here are a few that I’ve filed away in my to-do folder:
Suzy Q Sparkle repurposed and refashioned a thrifted leather jacket into an AMAZING Indiana Jones jacket for a child’s costume. My boys would be in heaven!
Chickpea’s Blog shows pictures and ideas from her beautiful garden and yard, including her seedlings planted in cracked egg shells. I’m totally skipping the Jiffy Pots next year and doing this!
And Greeting Arts shares a complete tutorial on making plantable gift tags that have seeds embedded in the paper. GENIUS!
Thank you to everyone that linked up. Go check out what was shared, good stuff.
Okay, the winner of the Rolled Kitchen Towels is
Mary Ellen of Mary’s Meanderings.
Congratulations, Mary Ellen. Please email me at sewatraightline AT gmail DOT com so I can get those out to you.
A few of you posted requesting more information on my snap press. I purchased mine through a co-op that is no longer around. But my recommendation to purchase is The Snap Store.
They have some great deals going on right now on full press/die/snap sets:
That’s the best deal I’ve seen on them. I’ve also always been very happy with everything I’ve purchased through The Snap Store.
The press is expensive, but if you do a fair amount of sewing and/or crafting, you’ll be surprised how often you use it. I absolutely love mine. And again, my offer from the cloth diaper post stands: if anyone in the the SLC, UT area needs snaps set, email me and I can help you out. Before I purchased my own press I was lucky enough to find a girl locally who did all of my snaps for me. I just posted on a message board, and had three offers by the end of the day. So that’s another option, too.
