My sister-in-law is having a baby this weekend. It’s her seventh, but there is a six year gap between her last and this one, so she needed all new things. She commissioned me to make her a new diaper stash (your Cloth Diaper Word of the Day: Stash—your collection of diapers and related paraphernalia). So we started with not-quite-2 dozen all bamboo one-size fitteds
And then I found adorable owl PUL remnant for a great deal, so add two wet bags
With the scraps from the diapers, 12 super soft cloth wipes
I used the free Pampers Cheeks pattern and were easy to put together. I even got all crazy and broke out the flatlock serging for the center seam. Which is my favorite technique ever, but I’m a little worried about the thick seam down the center of the pads. I did love how the pattern used up scraps so nicely. You’ll have to ask my sister in law in a few days how she likes them. As for ease in making them, I recommend the pattern.
My sister in law knit the baby a bunch of woolies for covers. So the little one just has to get here and put all this to use.
Good luck, Robin, we love you!
