Taking a break from the Sewing-For-Ivy-Marathon that things seem to have become lately, to share something for another kid.
My oldest has been growing out of everything. I mean ev.e.ry.thing. My to-sew list for him is as long as my arm. I whipped up these Chillax Pants(#26) from the 1/2013 Ottobre this past spring. I liked that the legs were so long, hopefully meaning that they will last through at least the next couple of months.
somewhere on the ID/OR border, via my Instagram (@sewastraightline) The fabric is a buffalo check knit from Girl Charlee. I screwed up when cutting things out, and cut the pattern with the fabric’s main stretch going in the wrong direction. Thankfully, he’s skinny, so it’s a non-issue everywhere but at the ankles. He has to kind of roll them down and over his feet to get them off. But other than that, they seem comfortable enough.
They were insanely quick to sew up, from cutting to on his body in less than an hour. And, as has been my experience with all the Ottobre I’ve sewn, the fit is fantastic on my thin kids.
