This past week was Kids Clothes Week: Summer.
We were at Science Camp for most of the week, so I hadn’t really planned on getting to officially participate this season. But we came home a day early from camp, and I had some knits and patterns calling to me; and some muscley kids in need of a some summer tops to show off their assets.
For the striped top, I used Ottobre 3/2013 #24, the V-Neck Tee. I just bound the arm scythes instead of putting in sleeves. I also added a pocket on the chest. The awesome stripe knit came from Andrea of The Train To Crazy/GoTo Patterns as part of a giveaway she hosted on Instagram a while ago. She said it originally was purchased at Michael Lavine:The Loft.
For my older son, I used Ottobre 1/2013 #15 Victor Mesh Tank. The fabric was some I picked up during Fabric Weekend. I love love LOVE the fit of this one. I want to make all the boys more from this pattern. My middle son informed me he’d rather just own long-sleeve tees (why he didn’t get a muscle tank this go’round) but I’m working on him. You’d think after he saw how impressive his brothers looked in their tanks, he wouldn’t be able to resist the call of The Muscle Tank.
