Today I get to show off one of my favorite patterns from one of my favorite people:
The Study Hall Jacket by Andrea of GoToPatterns (affiliate link) (and The Train To Crazy)(not an affiliate link. I just really like her and her blog)
The last Study Hall I made was for my 7 year old, and I did it totally on-pattern. Lined, welt pockets, zipper pocket, all of it. It’s awesome.
This time, I simplified things for my 5 year old and made him a Study Hall Hoodie.
So we can do this:
heh heh heh
I used grey and orange sweatshirt fleece, and some orange ribbed knit for the cuffs and drawstrings.
This kid has been wearing this thing for two weeks straight now. It’s held up great to crazy-boy play and lots of washings.
The Study Hall Jacket is a fabulous pattern to add to your arsenal of sewing prowess. The size range is fabulous, from baby to tween. It has tons of on-pattern options: pockets, hood, ruffles, collars.
Go To Patterns has some of my favorite pattern staples, including the Go To Leggings, which is an absolute MUST if you have a girl to sew for. Check out the whole Go To Patterns tour to see all kinds of amazing awesomeness
