I made two more Hawthorne Zip Ups.
So, added to the first I made for Seth, we now have a set of three.
This pattern by Titchy Threads for Willow & Co is just too good. The zipper installation is some sort of wizardry, and makes everything look totally finished inside and out. I did all three jackets with all the same options: half zip, side vents, and inseam pockets. I need to go back and tack the pockets to the hem, though, because when the boys put their hands in them, the pockets show below the jacket. And that drives me crazy. But that should be a quick, easy fix and then they will be perfect!
I used the same material for all three, too. It’s this super awesome soft, super awesome cool double-sided fleece from Jo-Ann Stores. I found it at the Super Center, but haven’t seen it in my local, small Jo-Ann. There are two thin fleeces, coordinating colors, fused to become one happy fleece. I shared a pic of it on Instagram last week:
See, super cool!
Speaking of super cool, my kids are weird.
