Hello, long lost friends! I’ve sewn and I would like to show you. For example, these cropped Hudson Pants.
I love Hudson Pants. This is why I now have sewn three pair. And why I keep buying more and more and MORE French terry for even more Hudson Pants. This pair is black French terry from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. I’ve edited the snot out of these photos, as it makes my central air intake vent look less disgusting and completely erases any and all tummy folds. And I’ve somehow convinced myself the editing looks cool and modern and hip. Anyway, as a result of the hyper exposed edits, the pants look maybe charcoal in color. They are not in real life, they are black. Like the grime in my intake vent. And also the editing highlighted some flour? grease? powdered sugar? marks on the pants. Any of the above options are possible as this is the third day in a week of me wearing these Hudsons. I’m not ashamed. Well, maybe of my intake vents.
I stuck to pattern with these Hudsons, other than the cuffs. I only had 1 yard of fabric, and there just wasn’t enough for the on-pattern cuffs. So these are half as tall as the pattern would normally yield. I wore my other cropped Hudsons yesterday, in an effort to shake things up with my wardrobe, and I’ve decided I like the halfsy cuffs better anyway.
Cute little printed pockets, because all clothing should have fun, hidden surprises like floral print pockets.
And that’s that. I’d like to say that I have lots more to show you, and I do. But I’m not going to say I’ll *actually* post anything because we both know how flakey I am. Though I, at this exact moment, have real intent to post, pretty much all I’m going to commit to right now is wearing these Hudsons as much as possible.
