And now, a little something for me. The Bellah by Prülla
The Bellah is a very basic sew, especially for a button-down style top. It has no collar, no cuffs, and no back yoke.
However simple it may be, The Bellah does have a few design features that make it special. Specifically, I really like the tucks at the shoulder. They give this otherwise casual top a bit of femininity that is fun but subtle.
Speaking of fun but subtle, did you notice my fabric? Camels. Rainbow camels. Rainbow three-humped camels. Why? I really don’t know, but I just really like them!
They are on a cotton voile I picked up from MyFabricDesigns, Funky Camel on Grey by LaurenYoungDesigns. The voile is perfect for The Bellah; light and airy, but with good structure.
My only complaint about this top is that it is a bit baggy. I went by my measurements, but I think I may go back and take the side seams in an inch or so. But other than that, it was a quick sew with great results. Perfect for beginners and those looking to build their handmade wardrobe.
