The final outfit from Ivy’s Kindergarten Wardrobe Fashion Show!
A darling little knit jumper and kitty-face tee
Truth: She hates the jumper. Like, hates it. Like, won’t even consider wearing it at all, except for this photo shoot. And only then, because I pay my kids for photo shoots, and she knew wearing the jumper was her ticket to a little more money in her piggy bank. But she made it very clear she would not be wearing it again. Ever. Blergh.
She does, however, really love the tee shirt that I made to go along with the loathed jumper. Have you noticed how many cat-themed outfits she has? The girl loves cats. The tee is pattern #28 from Ottobre 1/2014. The fabric is by Bloom Copenhagen. I cut the front piece upside down. The back is right. I’ve decided this just makes it so the cats are always facing my child. Please let’s not talk about it any more.
So the jumper. Why does she hate it so?
Apparently bibbed clothing is for babies. Overalls of any type, skirted, panted, shorted, whatever, she does not like. This is very bad news, as I found this out just after purchasing a different overalls pattern for her.
Whatever. I’m really hoping that if I just play it cool, and drop subtle hints about how cool and mature overall are, she will eventually be won over. Hopefully before she outgrows this.
She’s crazy, though, because the jumper is super cute.
Ottobre 1/2017, pattern #23.
Great details front and back
And all in a nice knit pointe with polka-dot lining.
And honestly, does this even look at all like a girl that hates the outfit she’s wearing?! I mean, really.
